My America...

As I look into the faces
Brown yellow black and white
I’m reminded of the ones who died
But could not put up a fight
But don’t hang your head and cry
Hold it high and proud and free
Let the world we live in see the tears we grieve

In my America we’re all the same
In my America those who’ve died won’t die in vain
We will fight until the end
For our families neighbors and friends
We’ll be victorious in my America

Little by little we’ll make the pieces fit
As we look toward heaven
And we pray for all our kin
From New York to the city of angels
And all points in between
Lift your voices in one chorus
For united all are we

In my America we’re all the same
In my America those who’ve died won’t die in vain
We will fight until the end
Til’ we’re on our shores again
We’ll be victorious in my America

From Larry's email to me:

Like so many others, I was deeply affected by the tragedy that befell our country on 9/11.

I have composed a moving tribute in song called "My America" which features the voices of the Crystal Cathedral Children's Chorus. I am presenting this song to your organization (Mp3 and Lyrics Attached) as a royalty-free gift. It's my contribution to the lifelong healing process that the families, friends, co-workers, and others directly affected by this tragic day must go through. It was written and recorded with reverence and respect for all the fallen and with that in mind, I will leave it entirely up to you as to how and when you use "My America" in your tributes and memorials. God bless you in your efforts to always keep the memory of the fallen heroes of 9/11 alive!!!

Sincerely,

Larry Kimpel, Founder & President
